Kosar’s Elbow Sore, but He’ll Face Lions
Bernie Kosar did only limited throwing in the Cleveland Browns’ practices this week because his right elbow is sore, but the quarterback said Wednesday that he will be fine for today’s NFL game against the Detroit Lions at Pontiac, Mich.
Kosar first hurt the elbow when he fell on it during a game at Seattle two weeks ago, and the soreness remained after he fell on it again during last Sunday’s 10-10 tie with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Browns lead the AFC Central Division with a 7-3-1 record. The Lions are last in the NFC Central Division at 2-9.
In an NFC East Division game, the Philadelphia Eagles will play the Dallas Cowboys at Irving, Tex. The Eagles are in second place at 7-4, two games behind the New York Giants. The Cowboys are last at 1-10.
