Jewish Treasures

Regarding the Nov. 14 “Morning Report” item telling of a plan to auction part of the art collection of the State Jewish Museum in Prague:

This precious legacy collected and stolen by Hitler with the intent of exhibiting artifacts of an extinct people should be given in toto to the state of Israel.

These Jewish ceremonial objects cannot be returned to their owners. Czechoslovakia certainly has no right to keep such treasures, and an auction would be an obscenity.
