Mother Teresa, who suffered a heart attack in September, will receive a pacemaker in an operation today, her doctor said.

The 79-year-old Roman Catholic nun was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home Wednesday night, said Sister Dorothy, a member of Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity.

Mother Teresa fell ill Wednesday hours after she met visitors for the first time since she left the nursing home Oct. 14, said Dr. Ashim Bardhan. He said that she was resting Thursday and that her condition was normal.
