Havana (Grimes). Shooting in the Dominican Republic. Robert Redford and Lena Olin star in this first Sydney Pollack directed effort since “Out of Africa.” This romance flick casts Redford as an American gambler who saunters down to the Cuban metropolis for a bit of fun and in doing so he falls for Olin, an erstwhile actress now hitched to a Cuban revolutionary. Maniac Cop II (Cordell). Shooting in New York and L.A. “Licence to Kill” heavy Robert David stars in this new installment about the policeman who takes his beat literally. This sci-fier deals with a group of animal activists who have unwittingly released some subjects of a government sponsored animal genetics experiment. Terror quickly follows, of course.
