Changes in Eastern Bloc
In his news analysis “Fear, Futility Fade and the Dominoes Fall” (Nov. 23), Dan Fisher omits three important “dominoes” in the domino theory.
The three Baltic states, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, former independent East European nations and members of the League of Nations, presently occupied by Soviet Union, have joined the dominoes. Their demands for recognition of their right to be once again independent were clearly demonstrated by the human chain stretching from Talin, through Riga to Vilnius.
Over a million people who participated in this 400-mile-long human chain last August clearly expressed their grass-roots demands for liberty, independence and their right to join the others as free European nations.
