Twenty-five debutantes stepped through the National Charity League Los Angeles chapter’s golden floral coronet at the Beverly Hilton. At the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, the Newport Harbor Auxiliary of the Children’s Home Society of California hosted the 36th annual Newport Harbor Debutante Ball, presenting Elizabeth Bastiaanse, Hilary Benedict, Lisa Bhathal, Jennifer Brunson, Dorothy Dunlap, Suzanne Emerson, Michelle Fay, Melinda Hovee, Michele Hughes, Melissa Ingold, Michelle Johnson, Diane Mallos, Kathleen Nutt, Molly O’Neil, Dona Ring, Rachel Robboy, Allison Root, Jennifer Smith, Celeste Tuttle, Traci Warmington, Lydia Welton, Wendy Werner and Rika Yano.

For National Charity League of San Fernando Valley debs, the ballroom of the Regent Beverly Wilshire became a Victorian Garden for the debuts of Paige Damron, Jennifer Eikenmeyer, Kristin Gangi, Angela Grimaldi, Karen Hallsman, Melissa Hill, Kimberly Kisylea, Suzanne Much, Holly Speriglio and Abigail Strong.
