P.M. BRIEFING : GM Considers Plant in Hungary

CHICAGO — General Motors Corp. is negotiating with Hungary to build an automobile parts plant in Budapest, it was reported today.
The auto maker also is considering ways to expand sales of its Opel cars in Hungary, including the establishment of its own dealer network.
Officials of General Motors and the Hungarian government said the company wants to build a major auto components factory that would export to GM’s Opel assembly plants in Western Europe.
