Jobs for Cities a Record
<i> Associated Press</i>
WASHINGTON — The nation’s cities employed a record 2,570,103 workers as of October, 1988, the Census Bureau said Tuesday. That is 28,735 more people than worked for cities a year earlier and about 9,000 more than the previous record, set in 1980.
