Marcella Cisney; Television and Theater Director
Marcella Cisney, 76, one of network television’s first women directors, who also served as producer and director at the Pasadena Playhouse, Laguna Playhouse, and Las Palmas Theatre in Hollywood. She directed CBS dramatic programs in New York in the early 1950s and later staged operas for the New York City Opera Company. Married to arts administrator Robert Schnitzer, she lived in Weston, Conn., and was named one of 100 outstanding women of Connecticut in 1987. In Weston, Conn., on Friday.
