Signs to Be Replaced
Nearly 2,000 rusted and deteriorating street signs in Beverly Hills will be replaced in 1990 by a new model that echoes the Art-Deco motif of the city’s new Civic Center.
The City Council Tuesday selected a design for the new signs, which features a top piece on which will be imprinted the letters BH. The signs will be a reflective white with a black border and will indicate the block number. The cost for the new signs will be between $150,000 and $175,000.
