San Diego
Two San Diego residents pleaded guilty this week to charges of odometer tampering. They could be sentenced to a maximum three years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
Masood Medhi Zadeh and Mohammad Reza Hadizadeh, respectively the former owner and salesman of the now-defunct Metro Car Co. on Mission Gorge Road, were charged with rolling back the mileage on as many as 22 cars. The case involved the California Department of Motor Vehicles, the U.S. district attorney’s office and the federal Department of Transportation.
Sentencing is set for Feb. 26.
