I totally agree with Tom Shales’ column...

I totally agree with Tom Shales’ column regarding news re-creations and reenactments. News should be wholly realistic and honest. Anything else is just plain phony. It’s no wonder recent polls suggest that most people believe about 50% of what they read and possibly even less of what they see on TV these days. I would rather see actual footage of events (even in black and white, if that’s the only available film or tape).
