‘House Party’ to Bow on KNBC Schedule Jan. 22
KNBC-TV Channel 4 will introduce “House Party,” an hourlong entertainment and information program, to its daily schedule Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. Steve Doocy, a former feature reporter for WRC-TV, the NBC-owned station in Washington, will host the show that will feature various speciality contributors.
The new series will move into the KNBC-TV lineup in the wake of the cancellation of the half-hour daily program, “U.S.A. Today on TV.” To make room for the one-hour “House Party,” Channel 4 will move “Scrabble” to a late-night spot, and give new time periods to “Golden Girls” (9 a.m.), “227” (9:30 a.m.) and “Classic Concentration” (11 a.m.).
“House Party” is the product of a unique development deal involving Group W, the NBC Stations Division, Group W Station Group and NBC Productions.
