The American Military Action in Panama
Attempting to capture General Noriega was a just cause. Unfortunately, the U.S. military fails to learn how to operate in Third World countries. It’s impossible to use the element of surprise with 25,000 troops, armored tanks, and C-141 transport planes. Perhaps we should have consulted the Israelis; they only needed six commandos and a Volkswagen bus to capture bad guy Sheik Obeid.
