Nation IN BRIEF : MASSACHUSETTS : Man Picks Suspect in Slaying of Wife
A man whose pregnant wife was fatally wounded as they were leaving a hospital birthing class in Boston has picked out a suspect from a police lineup, according to newspaper and television reports. Charles Stuart, 29, of suburban Reading, who was wounded in the attack in October, was taken to the Boston Police Department after a state Supreme Court justice denied a defense petition that could have kept Willie Bennett, 39, of Boston’s Roxbury section, out of the lineup. Carol Stuart, 30, gave birth to a son by Cesarean section after the shooting but the baby died.
