Teacher-astronaut Sharon Christa McAuliffe’s father, Edward C. Corrigan, was remembered in a funeral service four years to the day after his daughter died in the Challenger explosion. “It is ironic that the date that was the saddest day in Ed’s life now marks his entry into the eternal joys of heaven,” said the Rev. James Leary during the Mass in Framingham, Mass.
