Siemens Deal Nears Completion: Siemens Corp., the U.S. subsidiary of West German conglomerate Siemens AG, said it would complete its previously announced acquisition of Arco Solar Inc. from Atlantic Richfield Co. by the end of the month. At that time, Arco Solar--a leading maker of photovoltaics, or light-to-energy cells--will be renamed Siemens Solar Industries and will retain its headquarters in Camarillo. Terms were not disclosed, but observers have estimated the deal at between $30 million and $50 million.
