Punter Jason Savorn of Cordova High School (Rancho Cordova) and wide receiver Jeff Speech of Riordan High School (San Francisco) have orally committed to San Diego State.
Savorn, 6-feet-2, 195 pounds, is a top prospect to replace Joe Santos, who completed his eligibility after punting for SDSU for the past two seasons. Savorn has enrolled at SDSU for the second semester and will participate in spring drills. He averaged 47 yards per punt last season and also kicked for Cordova.
Speech is 6-1, 170, and described by Riordan Coach Liam Watters as having “good speed, fairly good height and very good hands.”
