Turner Gets Four Years: Veteran soul singer Ike Turner was sentenced Friday to four years in prison on cocaine charges, and a prosecutor said he hopes jail will help the 58-year-old one-time music star. “Our hope is that when he gets out, he’ll do something along the lines of rehabilitation,” said Deputy Dist. Atty. Ralph Mayer. “He’s not the type of criminal that’s in any way violent or selling the drugs. He’s just a 20-year abuser of the drugs who should have been caught a long time ago.”
