Sheriff Brad Gates and officials from the Orange County organization Drug Use Is Life Abuse said that President Bush will appear in Santa Ana next week to give an anti-drug speech.
“This is a great honor to have President Bush come to Orange County for the second time in a year to present a major speech on drug abuse,” Gates said in a statement. “The President is coming to highlight the private sector involvement in the war on drugs.”
The White House on Wednesday confirmed Bush’s visit. According to Gates, Bush’s speech will be March 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Santa Ana Bowl on Flower Street, and will be open to the public at no charge.
