Crazy Eddie a No-Show, Faces Contempt Charges

NEWARK, N.J. —
The founder of Crazy Eddie Inc., the small electronics firm, faces criminal contempt charges after he again failed to appear today before a federal judge to answer demands he return $52 million to the United States.
Judge Nicholas H. Politan ordered U.S. marshals to bring Eddie Antar before him and said a civil trial against Antar and two family members will proceed without the reclusive founder beginning May 1.
