SOUTHLAND : Sheriff Block Runs for 3rd Term

Sheriff Sherman Block announced today he has filed to seek reelection to a third full term as head of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The sheriff told reporters at his regular monthly news briefing in his Hall of Justice office that he filed formal reelection papers last Friday.
Block said he is not aware yet of a potential opponent in the coming June primary. He has won overwhelmingly in recent elections.
