Woman, 58, Dies After Car Hits Pole
WESTMINSTER — A 58-year-old Garden Grove woman died Saturday morning after her car ran into a utility pole on Magnolia Street, police said.
Lois Hardy was driving north on Magnolia Street at 7 a.m. when her car veered and struck the right curb, then ran onto the sidewalk and hit a pole near Trini Circle, Westminster Police Lt. Andrew Hall said. Police do not know why she lost control of the car, he said.
Hardy was treated at the scene by medics and taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, where she died of internal injuries, Hall said.
