Look at the hoopla over the Raiders returning to Oakland! Look at the Raiders’ emblem symbolizing macho aggressiveness! (A one-eyed pirate with two crossed swords.) Look at the “fans,” a word derived from “fanatic”! And then be grateful that football siphons off our racial, nationalistic, ethnic, sexual and religious fanaticism! Or does it?
