Nation IN BRIEF : MICHIGAN : Mothers Sentenced in Sexual Abuse
Two women convicted last week of lining up their children so that men could chose among them for sex were sentenced in Allegan, Mich., to up to 40 years in prison. Carolyn Wilson, 42, of Bangor, Mich., and Annette Sanford, 34, of South Haven, Mich., were each convicted on one first-degree count and one third-degree count of criminal sexual conduct. The children, who range in age from 9 to 18, told of the abuse after they were placed in foster homes in 1988. A week ago, the women were sentenced to up to 40 years in prison on a January conviction of first-degree criminal sexual conduct for forcing the Wilson boy and a Sanford girl to have intercourse.
