Gragnano, Pizula, Collins Head North Nominations

Los Alamitos High School quarterback Todd Gragnano and running backs Brian Pizula of Sunny Hills and Coy Collins of Loara head the list of nominations for the North team that will participate in the 31st Orange County All-Star football game July 6 at Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.

Gragnano led Los Alamitos to the Southern Section Division III championship game as a sophomore and junior and was twice named the most valuable player of the Empire League.

Pizula rushed for 1,226 yards and 19 touchdowns in the regular season, leading Sunny Hills to a 10-0 record and the Freeway League championship. Pizula was named the league’s most valuable player.

Collins established career (3,011 yards), single-season (1,680) and single-game (273) rushing records and single-season touchdown (29) marks in his three-year career at Loara.
