Cinema Editor Awards: In the last of the guild awards preceding the Oscars themselves, the Eddie, presented by the American Cinema Editors, went to Steven Rosenblum for his work on “Glory.” Byron Brandt was honored for his editing of the television special “Howard Beach: Making the Case for Murder.” Paul Zinner and John Burnett won for their editing of an episode of “War and Remembrance.” “Roger & Me,” the controversial documentary about General Motors and Flint, Mich., earned Eddies for two first-time editors, Wendey Stanzler (who is from Flint) and Jennifer Beman. During Sunday night ceremonies in Beverly Hills, a special ACE award went to Steven Spielberg as filmmaker of the decade.
