Gypsy Award for Sammy Davis: Actors, dancers and comedians turned out for a luncheon on Sunday to honor ailing entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. for his contribution to the world of dance. Davis’ wife, Altovise, accepted the annual Gypsy Award from the Professional Dancers Society on behalf of her husband. About 800 entertainers, including Patrick Swayze, Debbie Allen, Milton Berle and the famed dancing duo Nicholas Brothers attended the ceremonies at the the Los Angeles Hilton hotel.
