SHORT TAKES : IRS, Foxx Reach Accord on Taxes
LAS VEGAS — The Internal Revenue Service has returned a truckload of personal property seized from comedian Redd Foxx last November after working out an agreement on payment of back taxes.
Foxx said he was pleased with the return of the items but declined further comment.
His attorney, Marc Risman, said an agreement had been worked out with the IRS after months of negotiations. He said Foxx will make installment payments on current and past taxes.
Eight cars and jewelry seized by the IRS will still be sold at auction to help reduce Foxx’s tax debt, Risman said Wednesday. He said Foxx will not fight the auction.
