She bills herself as the high priestess of an ancient Egyptian religion that uses sex in its rituals. She says she’s engaged in the rituals with more than 2,000 men. She and her husband are appealing prostitution convictions.

So, what now?

Why, her own television show, of course.

Decked out in a red-sequined dress and black fishnet stockings, Mary Ellen Tracy, 47, talked about sex for half an hour Tuesday night on Channel 3, the public-access station of Century Cable.

In this case, however, Tracy’s public access was strictly limited.

“We don’t allow commerciality or profanity,” explained Michael Lewis of Channel 3, which reaches about 100,000 homes on the Westside, Hollywood and in the San Fernando Valley.

Tracy, whose taped show appears about four times a month, discussed sex-change operations and produced a chart listing the differences between male and female sex organs.

“It’s not called Vanity Video for nothing,” Lewis noted.

Speaking of hosts, it’s true that KIIS-FM disc jockey Rick Dees has tumbled from No. 1 in the local radio ratings. But it’s not as though he’s disappeared . Then again, his picture is on the Main Street Dairy’s milk cartons.

A film crew taping a special called “Hard Rock Cafe Presents Save the Planet” slammed into a fire hydrant early Wednesday, flooding the West Hollywood watering hole with 200,000 gallons of the wet stuff.

Not to worry, though. Firefighters were able to save most of the memorabilia, including Elton John’s sequined baseball suit. Wouldn’t want that removed from public access.
