Former Drexel Staffers Find Work in L.A.
Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities has more than doubled the size of its investment banking staff in Los Angeles--thanks largely to the liquidation of Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Over the past few weeks, Donaldson has picked up 15 new staffers, including Kenneth D. Moelis, a former Drexel managing director, who will now serve as co-head of DLJ’s Los Angeles corporate finance group. Only three of the new employees, in fact, were not from Drexel but were transferees from DLJ in New York.
The most senior of the transferred employees is Anthony R. Chidoni, senior vice president-national sales, who will head sales and trading activity in Los Angeles.
Other senior additions from Drexel: Peter J. Nolan and Kenneth A. Viellieu, who were named senior vice presidents at DLJ; Peter P. Copses, John G. Danhakl, Mark W. Lanigan and Warren Woo, who joined as vice presidents.
The new hires bring DLJ’s Los Angeles corporate finance staff to 24 and its total office staff to 40.
