Bicyclist Dies After Crash With Truck
A San Fernando man was killed Sunday when his bicycle was struck by a truck in Granada Hills, police said.
Jose Ayala, 18, was riding west on San Fernando Mission Boulevard at 5 p.m. when he collided with a truck headed north on Haskell Avenue, Los Angeles Police Officer Greg Pfeifle said. The truck was driven by Marshall Payne, 55, of Granada Hills. Payne was not arrested.
Ayala died in surgery at Holy Cross Medical Center at 6:38 p.m., Pfeifle said.
