Disposable Paper Products: Lam Industries of Los Angeles sued International Paper Co. and its Veratec subsidiary in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking the right to develop and sell products using International’s non-woven, washable fabric, plus 80% of profits from those products. The suit said International Paper of New York in 1986 gave Lam the exclusive license to develop and sell “washable, disposable products,” such as bibs and training pants, made from its fabric but later told Lam that it wanted to develop those products with Gerber Food Product Co. International declined comment on the suit, which seeks unspecified damages. (Filed April 11, 1990. Case No. C758050)
