Bone Marrow Donor Baby

This is in response to “A Healthy ‘Bone Marrow Baby’ Is Born to Ayalas,” (Metro, April 7). There are some decisions a family cannot make, even for its own children. One such decision is about using a child as a donor in a bone marrow transplant. Another would be the use of a child as an organ donor. These decision have to be made by mature individuals, not made for children by adult family members.

We should also add that the unwilling donor needs protection from the medical Establishment.
