THOUSAND OAKS : Suspects Arrested in Car Stereo Thefts
Two Oxnard youths suspected of burglarizing cars in Thousand Oaks were arrested Monday, authorities said.
The pair were arrested after a Thousand Oaks resident reported that he had seen the stereo being taken from his car in the 200 block of San Vincente Circle and described the thieves’ pickup truck, said Deputy Myron Bennett of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy patrolling the area spotted a truck matching the description and pulled it over, Bennett said. Several car stereos were found in the truck, along with radios the suspects used to communicate between themselves during burglaries, Bennett said.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone whose vehicle has been burglarized in the vicinity of San Vincente Circle to call 494-8218.
