SANTA ANA : Free Quake Expo to Be Held Sunday
“Neighbor Helping Neighbor” is the theme of a free earthquake expo from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Birch Park.
The expo, sponsored by the city, will feature a display of emergency vehicles, food and entertainment. At least a dozen emergency supply vendors will be on hand selling earthquake supplies, including first aid kits, emergency foods, survival preparedness kits and special wrenches to turn off utilities. Public employees who show identification will receive a 5% to 20% discount, said Sharon Frank, emergency services coordinator.
Geologist Glen Roquemore will address “Orange County Seismicity” at 1:20 and 2:25 p.m. inside the Santa Ana Senior Center, next to the park.
Free parking will be available in the public parking structure across the street.
