Police Seek Mentally Disabled Man
Police are looking for a mentally disabled man who apparently became lost in the Hollywood area last week.
Russell Lomax, 35, was last seen about 10 a.m. Thursday leaving a Gray Line bus at Mann’s Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, said Anaheim Police Officer Edward Thaete. Lomax, who lives in Portland, Ore., joined the tour in Anaheim, where he was visiting a family member.
He was described as 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with straight brown hair and a mustache. He was wearing a green sweat shirt with a Mickey Mouse T-shirt over it, jeans and low-top running shoes, Thaete said.
Family members speculate that Lomax, who they say has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old, may have decided to walk back to Anaheim. “He doesn’t even know how to get off an escalator without getting frightened,” said Deborah Himes, Lomax’s sister-in-law.
