Respite From Hectic Existence
In the Metro/Valley section April 26, it was reported that a heated debate took place between environmentalists and proponents of an art center in the Sepulveda Basin.
I can’t believe that two groups that have the same common goals of beautifying our environment cannot get together on this issue. Just a walk through the Franklin Murphy Sculpture Garden at UCLA would be enlightening. The arts and our environment provide the only respite from a hectic, mechanized existence.
