Quality of Inspections
The reply to the question “Why Does a Home Inspection Cost So Much?” (April 22) by Bill Ross is clearly self-serving.
The cost of a home inspection has little to do with the quality of the inspection. The inspector may be unqualified and will cause problems, the fact that an inspector may charge less is in no way an indication of competence.
I am a general contractor and have read many inspection reports, and the only thing a high fee will guarantee is a lengthy report, some of which may be of dubious quality.
