MONROVIA, Liberia — A Liberian court found the wife of former Defense Minister Gray Allison guilty of helping him murder a police officer to obtain blood and human parts for a magic potion, state radio said.
Angeline Watta Allison and two men were convicted by a 12-member jury of killing patrolman Melvin Pyne in March, 1989.
Her husband, once President Samuel Doe’s right-hand man, was sentenced to death last August for the same crime. He is still in prison.
