Laser Precision Corp.: The Irvine manufacturer of test and measurement equipment and interconnection devices posted a first-quarter net income of $105,000, down from the $282,000 for the year before. Sales increased 8%, to $6.9 million from $6.4 million. David M. Goodman, president and chief executive, said the company’s defense against a lawsuit brought by 3M Corp. adversely affected earnings by $210,000 before taxes. The suit was settled in February.
