Today’s Election
What: Voters in Seal Beach go to the polls today to fill two seats on the City Council. This is a runoff election between the top vote-getters in the March 27 election.
Who: There are four candidates running for the two seats.
In District 1, the candidates are: Marilyn Bruce Hastings, 61, a property management specialist, and Joe Rullo, 54, an engineering contractor.
In District 2, the candidates are Galen F. Ambrose, 49, a financial controller, and Gwen Forsythe, 35, a financial manager for an advertising agency.
Where: District 1 polling places are at Marina Community Center, McGaugh School gym and Clubhouse 1 in Leisure World.
District 2 polling places are at Fire Station 44, St. Anne’s Church Hall and Surfside Colony office.
When: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
