Schwartz Captures Speedway Main Event

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event in front of 4,021 in the weekly speedway program at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa Friday.

Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was second and Alan Christian of Murrieta was third.

Dukie Ermolenko of Cypress won the eight-lap handicap main event.
