Kaplan’s column (“Preservation Lesson: UCLA Flunks Test,” May 13) discusses how ironic it is that UCLA, whose library houses the Richard Neutra Archives, is planning to destroy the UES buildings designed by Richard Neutra.
The loss of our architectural heritage is also an embarrassing one give that Richard Neutra is the only Southern California architect to have won the American Institute of Architects’ Gold Medal award.
