More Museum News--Susan Moore-Laux, who has been working as a consultant on the summer science program, has joined the museum staff as assistant director for public programs. She will oversee exhibits and educational programs, including docents, classes, outreach programs, a speakers bureau and public lectures. She comes aboard just in time to help plan the new interim site.

Moore-Laux served for five years as director of programs and education at the Discovery Museum in Santa Ana, and one year as assistant director of Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim. From 1979 to 1981, she was an education specialist with the National Museum of Natural History, part of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington.
