Orange County has no impressive native nut crop, but it is the home of a major transshipment point for almonds. Fullerton’s Blue Diamond Growers warehouse, during the 12-month periodfrom June, 1989, to May, 1990, moved more than 12.5 million pounds of the nuts to more than 90 countries.
