Arroyo 21, St. Francis 6--Receiver E. J. Hoyt led Arroyo’s all-junior backfield with 165 yards and one touchdown in 20 carries to pace the Knights (2-2) at home.
Hoyt scored on a 19-yard run in the third quarter to give Arroyo a 14-0 lead.
Arroyo quarterback David Ruiz carried the ball 10 times for 80 yards, including a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. He completed two of three for 36 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown pass to Mike Gonzalez.
St. Francis (2-2) avoided a shutout with 23 seconds left when Brew McGoldrick caught a four-yard pass from quarterback John Willis.
