Bond Producers File Suit: The producers of the James Bond films sued MGM/UA Communications Co. and Pathe Communications Corp., claiming that the two firms are selling foreign television rights to the films at bargain prices to finance their pending merger. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, alleges that Danjaq SA, the company behind the Bond films, will lose more than $20 million under the plan. MGM/UA and Pathe had no comment, pending a review of the matter.
