The King’s English: As part of the Festival of Britain-Orange County, a three-week celebration of arts, cultures and community events, public radio station KCRW-FM and the BBC are co-producing a live performance event entitled “You Say Potato” billed as “a celebration of two nations divided by a common language.” The event will be at the Irvine Barclay Theatre on Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. and broadcast live on KCRW (89.9-FM). “You Say Potato” is an anthology of 200 years of verbal warfare between Britons and Yanks. Scheduled performers include Americans Paul Winfield, Madeline Kahn and Hector Elizondo and Britons Prunella Scales, Joanna Lumley and Martin Jarvis.
