LOCAL : 2 Wounded on Harbor Freeway
Two men working on their disabled truck along a freeway shoulder in Los Angeles were shot and wounded by suspected gang members who pulled up and asked the victims if they belonged to a rival gang, authorities said today.
The shooting occurred as the men, both from San Pedro, worked on their disabled pickup on the southbound Harbor Freeway near Channel Street late Tuesday, Sgt. Tony Rosa said.
Gerald Wells and his cousin, Monet Williams, both 24, were taken to County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where both were in serious condition with gunshot wounds.
